For UniCem to succeed as a business, our partner communities need to be economically healthy. Providing both direct and indirect employment opportunities is one of the ways UniCem supports its partner communities.

In the cement industry there is a high demand for technical and specialized skills and where the skills base exists, UniCem gives preference to employees originating from Cross River State.

In 2009 alone we were able to provide in excess of eight hundred employment opportunities to members of our partner communities either via direct employment, contract employment or National Youth Service Council and business-related employment opportunities.
