UniCem has extended its Safety policy beyond our operations and we have applied this policy to safety on the roads which are impacted by our operations.

Our emphasis is on the proactive prevention of road accidents. In achieving this we have entered into joint partnerships on education, community awareness campaigns, road worthiness compliance and driver enlightenment programs with the Cross River State Department of Public Transport and the Federal Road Safety Committee.

UniCem road safety patrol teams are highly visible on the routes impacted by our operations and play a key role in ensuring road worthiness of trucks, good road behaviour and in the case of accidents, vehicle recovery and traffic management.
